Forms
Who can answer, and anonymous forms
Choose who can answer, and whether you see who they are.
These settings are in the Settings panel of the form editor.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Accept responses | Turn this off to close the form. People can still open it, but can’t answer. |
| Require a Tarylem account | People must sign in to answer. |
| Show me who answered | You see each person’s name and email. Needs an account. |
| Only one response per person | Each account can answer once. Needs an account. |
Anonymous forms
A form is anonymous unless Show me who answered is on. New forms start with it off.
If you require an account and leave it off, people sign in but you don’t see who they are. Answers aren’t linked to their account in any way, even when Only one response per person is on, so they can’t be traced back to someone later.
The form tells people which applies before they answer.
If you change the setting later
- Turning it off hides the names on answers you already have.
- Turning it on shows names on new answers. Anonymous answers stay anonymous for good.
- Turning it back on after hiding names shows them again, for answers that were given while names were shown.
