Organize files
Folders, moving, renaming, and finding things.
Make a folder
Press New folder, or open a folder first to make one inside it.
Move files by dragging
On a computer, drag a file or folder onto any folder.
- Several at once: hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) and click each one, or hold Shift to select a range. Then drag any of them.
- Up a level: drag onto the folder path at the top, or onto Files in the sidebar.
- Changed your mind: press Undo on the message that appears.
Move files from the menu
Dragging doesn’t work on phones and tablets. Press … on an item, choose Move, pick a folder, and press Move here. On a computer, you can also select items and press Move in the bar at the top.
If the folder already has something with that name, the moved item gets a different name.
Rename
Press … and choose Rename, or select the item and press F2.
Find things
- Search looks through your file and folder names.
- Recent shows the files you uploaded or changed lately.
- Shared shows files with a share link.
